I earned a bachelor's of engineering with honors and a diploma of science in engineering.
Experience
I have experience tutoring many subjects, including differential equations, linear algebra, engineering mechanics, calculus, mathematical modeling, fluid mechanics, statistics, and more. Currently, I am the business manager and main tutor for a local tutoring business. I have many years of experience in tutoring, particularly in high school math and science topics. Recently, I have switched to tutoring mainly university students in engineering. I write my own tutoring notes and prepare my own tutorial questions and problems for students. My notes and questions are aimed at helping students understand the topic through thorough explanations of the theorem and real-world examples. I have also developed some tips and tricks to solve the questions with ease for some topics, like math and engineering mechanics. Part of my current job is to provide training to new tutors or those interested in becoming a tutor. I make sure that they have the capability to deliver their knowledge effectively. I will also train new tutors in presentation skills and provide support whenever necessary. I previously served as a peer mentor in the ECI School of Engineering. I have also worked as a peer tutor, student ambassador, and faculty of computing. I'm highly active in advocating for international students and supporting them. I have three years of previous math, computer science, and physics tutoring experience in Malaysia before coming to Perth.
